Coral Gables

The population was 42,249 at the 2000 census. According to U.S Census estimates in 2005, the city had a population of 42,871. Coral Gables is served by the Miami Metrorail at three stations: Douglas Road Station, University Station, and South Miami Station. Douglas Road Station directly serves the Village of Merrick Park and Coconut Grove. Coral Gables was one of the first planned communities, and prefigured the development of the gated community and the homeowners association. It is notorious for its aesthetic regulations.The city was developed by George Edgar Merrick during the Florida land boom of the 1920s. The city's architecture is almost entirely Mediterranean Revival Style. By 1926, the city covered 10,000 acres (40 km2), had netted $150 million in sales with over $100 million spent on development.

Bal Harbour

Bal Harbour is a village in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The population was 3,305 at the 2000 census. In 1947, the Church by the Sea was built. In 1948, the Beach Club was built. Its restaurant was operated by Howard Johnson's. In 1949, a new bridge was started over Baker Haulover. In 1956, the current Village Hall was built. In 1956, the Hotel Americana was built. It became the Sheraton Hotel in 1980. It was imploded on November 18, 2007 to build a set of condos and a luxury aparthotel as the St. Regis. In 1959, Bal Harbour's beach was renovated due to severe erosion. In 1965, the Bal Harbour Shops was built by the Whitman family. Stanley Whitman was one of the incorporators who lived with his family in the barrack apartments. In 1971, Bal Harbour's beach started a major renourishment project. In 2008, The new Regent Bal Harbour opened, becoming the northern gateway to the Village.

Miami Beach

Miami Beach is a city in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The city was incorporated on March 26, 1915. It is located on a barrier island between Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean; the Bay separates Miami Beach from the city of Miami, Florida. The city is often referred to under the umbrella term of "Miami," despite being a distinct municipality. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 87,933. 55.5% of the population was foreign born. A 2005 population estimate for the city was 87,925. Pinecrest

Pinecrest is a suburban village in Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States. The population was 19,055 at the 2000 census. As of 2004, the U.S. Census Bureau estimated the population to be at 19,432.[3] Pinecrest is governed by a five member Village Council and operates under the Council-Manager form of government.The Village of Pinecrest was officially incorporated on March 12, 1996. Greer was elected the first mayor and was succeeded, after serving two terms, by Matzner in 2004.

Boca Raton

Boca Raton is a city in Palm Beach County, Florida incorporated in May 1925. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 74,764; the 2006 population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau was 86,396.[However, the majority of the people under the postal address of Boca Raton, about 200,000 in total, are not actual residents of municipal Boca Raton. West Palm Beach

The Town of Palm Beach (called Palm Beach Island or the Island of Palm Beach to differentiate between the town and the county) is an affluent incorporated town in Palm Beach County, Florida, United States. The Intracoastal Waterway separates it from the neighboring cities of West Palm Beach and Lake Worth. As of 2000, Palm Beach had a year-round population of 10,468, with an estimated seasonal population of 30,000. As of 2004, the year-round population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 9,860. Palm Beach was established as a resort by Henry Morrison Flagler, a founder of Standard Oil, who made the Atlantic coast barrier island accessible via his Florida East Coast Railway. The nucleus of the community was established by Flagler's two luxury resort hotels, the Royal Poinciana Hotel and The Breakers Hotel. West Palm Beach was built across Lake Worth as a service town, and has become a major city in its own right.
